A clear starting point.
The desktop is open source. Hosted features have their own responsibilities.
Who makes Okilum
Okilum is developed and operated by Oleg Kossoy, an individual, under the BeFeast brand. Contact: support@okilum.app.
The desktop is open source
The desktop source code is provided under the MIT licence. Your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute that code come from the licence. These hosted-service terms do not replace or restrict those rights. Third-party components retain their own licences; see the third-party notices.
Beta software and availability
Okilum is beta software. Features may change, bugs can occur, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability or suitability for every purpose. Keep independent backups of important files.
The software and any hosted service are provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent permitted by law. To that extent, Oleg Kossoy disclaims warranties and liability for losses arising from their use. Nothing here excludes liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.
Inbox access and your content
Inbox is not open for public registration. The first rollout is planned for four or five family members and friends, by invitation. Hosted features may change or be discontinued; no launch date or service level is promised.
You keep ownership of your content. If you choose to use Inbox, you permit us to store, transmit, and process the content only as needed to provide the features you enable and respond to your support requests, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for content you submit, protecting your account and devices, and having the rights needed to share that content. Do not share access with people who have not been invited.
Acceptable use
Do not use Inbox to distribute unlawful material, infringe others’ rights, harass people, send spam, or attack or disrupt systems. Do not bypass access restrictions or attempt to obtain another user’s data.
Access may be restricted when needed to address abuse, protect other users, or comply with law.
Leaving the service
You can stop using the desktop or any optional service at any time. Local Markdown files remain under your control.
For hosted data, contact privacy@okilum.app to request export or deletion. The Inbox account lifecycle and backup-retention process must be established before invitations begin. Signing out alone does not delete server content or browser drafts.
Third-party services
Downloads, code hosting, and planned authentication services are provided in part by third parties. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their own services. Connecting an optional service does not change the MIT licence for the desktop code.
Law, rights, and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. Nothing here takes away a legal right you cannot waive.
We may update these terms as the product and optional services change. The date at the top identifies this version. Material changes to an active hosted service will be communicated to its users.
